Introduction

Riyadh Cables Group is a leading manufacturer of wire and cables in the Middle-East with registered office at 2nd Industrial Area, Riyadh. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Notice.

This Privacy Notice applies to Riyadh Cables Group, (“RCG” or “we”) and its users. The website users will be referred to as “you”.

We take your privacy seriously and want you to feel comfortable whenever you visit the Marketplace or provide us with your personal information. We are committed to responsible information handling practices and have set out our approach to handling your information collected in connection with the Marketplace in our Privacy Notice.

Who might we share this
information with?

Information about our customers is an important part of our business and we are not in the business of selling our customers’ personal information to others. We will share your information with our outsourced partners and vendors for audit and analysis purposes respectively. RCG is located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and our partners and vendors are located throughout the world. Whenever we transfer personal information to other jurisdictions, we will ensure that the information is transferred in accordance with this Privacy Notice and as permitted by applicable data protection laws.

How we Secure Information

At RCG, security is our highest priority. We design our systems with your security and privacy in mind:

• We maintain a wide variety of compliance programs that validate our security controls
• We recognize industry standards and employ security safeguards to protect personally identifiable information from unauthorized access and misuse.
• We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage, and disclosure of personal information. Our security procedures mean that we may request proof of identity before we disclose personal information to you.
• All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers.

Disclosure of your information

We may disclose your personal information to audit partners and vendors. We may also disclose your personal information to third parties in the following circumstances:

• in order to provide services to you;
• in the event of a sale, merger, liquidation, receivership or transfer of assets of RCG, to the prospective buyer of the business and their professional advisers; and

RCG retains personal data for as long as necessary to provide the products and fulfil your requests, or for other legitimate purposes such as complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. Because these needs can vary for different data types, the context of our interactions with you or your use of products, actual retention periods can vary significantly.

The KSA data protection law allows you to exercise certain rights that have been provisioned to residents to provide control over your personal information. If you wish to exercise any of these rights (as further described below), we may ask you for additional information to verify your identity for security purposes, before disclosing personal information to you. We reserve the right to charge a fee, where permitted by law, for example, if your request is found to be manifestly unfounded or excessive.

In the event we require additional time due to the complexity of the request, we shall promptly inform you of the same. We may not always be able to fully address your request, for example:

• if it would impact the confidentiality we owe to others, or
• if we are legally entitled to deal with the request in a different way, or
• if your request involves deletion of personal information that is required to fulfil our contractual obligations to you or to comply with legal requirements.

The section below provides your privacy rights with regards to your personal information:

Right to know :

You have the right to be informed of the legal or practical justification for collecting your personal data, and the purpose of that, and not to process your personal data later in a manner incompatible with the purpose of its collection, except but not limited to, in order to fulfil judicial requirements and protect vital interests.

The right to access :

You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether we process personal information about you, receive a copy of your personal information held by us, and obtain certain other information about how and why we process your personal information (like the information provided in this Privacy Notice).

The right to rectification :

You have the right to request amendment or update of your personal information (for example, if you change your name or address) and to have incomplete personal information completed.

The right to restrict processing :

You have the right to restrict our processing of your personal information in the following cases:
• Temporarily for a period when you have contested the accuracy of the personal information until we are able to verify the accuracy or otherwise of       such personal information;
• Temporarily for a period when you have objected the legitimate interest identified by us;
• Where your personal information is processed in violation of any law to which we are subject, and you request the restriction of processing instead of   deletion; and/or
• Where your personal information is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected and processed but the personal   information is required by you to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
We can continue to use your personal information following a request for restriction, where:
• we have your consent; or
• to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
• to protect the rights of another natural or legal person.

The right to erasure :

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information in the following cases:
• Personal information is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected and processed. Please note, the implication of this is that we may not be able to action a request for erasure while you are still an employee of the Company as we will need to continue processing your personal information for the purposes described in this Notice;
• Our lawful basis for processing is that the processing is necessary for a legitimate interest pursued by us. If you object to our processing and we do not have overriding legitimate grounds;
• Your personal information is processed in violation of any law to which we are subject;
• Your personal information must be erased to comply with a legal obligation under KSA Law to which we are subject.
We are not required to comply with your request to erase personal information if the processing of your personal information is necessary:
• For compliance with a legal obligation; or
•For exercising our rights or fulfilling our obligations under our employment contract with you; or
• For any ongoing investigation or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

The right to object :

You have the right to object to our processing of your personal information if our lawful basis for processing is that the processing is necessary for a legitimate interest pursued by us.

The right to withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent) :

Where we process personal information based on your consent, you have a right to withdraw consent at any time. You can withdraw your consent by following the instructions provided in “How do you contact us” section.

Right for Data Portability :

This right provides the data subject with the ability to ask for transfer of his or her personal data. As part of such request, the data subject may ask for his or her personal data to be provided back (to him or her) or transferred to another controller. When doing so, the personal data must be provided or transferred in a machine-readable electronic format.

Updates to Notice

Any changes we may make to this Privacy Notice in the future will be posted on RCG website and, where appropriate, notified to you. By continuing to use RCG you will be deemed to accept the changes to this Privacy Notice.
